Hi guys, I’ve been doing good, but it’s been super hectic and busy with the world being… you know… what it is right now. I hope you’re all staying safe and doing well.
I’ve been playing through and enjoying the heck out of Pokemon SwSh, including both DLCs. Which is not surprising all things considered, especially since the video up there is about it. I didn’t expect to make a video process for this sort of thing, but I figured that it would be a fun look at how I play with art and design.
I may make more videos like this in the future - perhaps more simplified than this - but I dunno’ yet. I still don’t know how how regularly I’ll be posting at all, so it’s up in the air. Life is wild for everyone right now so yeah. >v>;;

The Prince of the Sea - A Little Mermaid AU
[Part 4/4]
Aaaaand that’s it. Mostly just a lot of establishing and set up, but I sort of wanted to treat it as a first chapter type of thing with limiting my page count… That and I had these sketched out so long ago that I wanted to finish them in full, and that took so long that I have no idea when I’ll get back to it cuz by the time I was done I was kinda burnt out.
So Honerva essentially Ursula in this version. Rather than having her be Haggar l decided to have her be Honerva because I had an easier time fitting it in with the established conflict. Which as some may be able to tell is a bit more of a Tangled situation. Crossing of the Disney streams. Because looking at Lotor’s story, it fits very neatly into that Disney movie.
This section is one where it was all about the color and lighting experimenting. First with the first page trying to convey the change in time while underwater, which took a bit. Then the next was with the contrast of the colors.
Also for those wondering about Dayak’s hair, that was a thing I ended up on with some design stuff I did outside of mermay, and I ended up going with for this. I considered the shell being used as the hood she wears like in the show, but I liked the idea of the shell instead of the standard tail or tentacles more just because I like the idea of it being that prominent.
As were the backgrounds, even if they were very time consuming and stressful at the time. One of the reasons I did this comic was an exercise in backgrounds, color and lighting. A comic using primarily underwater setting was something I’d never done before and seemed like a good way to do that.
Plus it made drawing hair really fun. I could make it as flow-y and swish-y as I wanted. Like Ezor’s! Her’s was my fave.
Something I’ve been working on for the last few months. I originally had this idea waaay back last year… And by way back I mean December. But here’s finally something to show for it: A comic that I plan on posting every Friday this MerMay. And I’m confident in that because this comic is actually finished.

I haven’t yet, but I have considered it ! I tend to go the route of “single team through the whole playthrough” cuz I like to build the attachment to the pokemon throughout the whole playthrough. But that also makes it hard for me to attempt to release pokemon or legit stop using ones I’ve had in my team. Plus the teams I build also tend to be first playthrough ones. And that just adds to that.
But I have considered it for things like remakes or playthroughs of older generations I’ve already played through before. The lack of multiple save files on the 3DS games were a big barrier for that though.
Luckily, though, the Switch lets you make multiple profiles for everyone who uses it, and after testing it with my brother playing LGE on his, I can say that it is a solid way to have multiple saves! So if I really get the urge, Sword and Shield might be the first games I ever Nuzlocke!

I was playing both a lot-
Until Animal Crossing came out and suddenly took over the game side of my life.
Both are excellent games and I like them both, Animal Crossing is just creativity unleashed for me. Cuz I can literally build my island in whatever way I want even if it ends up just being rearranging my flower garden over and over again in a vain attempt for rare flowers.
Love your cadet au! From what I've seen, its awesome! But what's the plot? Just a bit confused

Thank you! The AU has it’s own whole blog centered around it’s story and plot, and there’s a summary link in most posts. But since Tumblr likes to be Tumblr, it seems like the links aren’t working that well on those.
This post has all the links both embedded and written out, that way if the embedding is the problem people can just type in the URLs manually. Hopefully the link to said post in this own works and doesn’t give people trouble.
Hey, how come you haven't been active in a long time? Is everything okay?
I’m doing fine! Life has just been crazy at the moment. Well, it’s been crazy for a while, but especially at the moment. For like. Everybody.
Before the Quarantine shenanigans started, I thought I was going to have a lot more time and motivation to post stuff and do more. And it… didn’t end up happening. I just needed whatever time I could find to chill out and recharge. And that time unfortunately was the time I usually used for posting stuff and working on things for blogs.
And then all this stuff happened and it’s like “…Welp. This is quite the situation.”
It didn’t really occur to me how long it’d been since an actual post on here tho, so sorry if I worried anybody! Today I’m gonna have a few asked I’ve had in my drafts for a long time post just so I have some stuff and just let people know I’m alive.
